Sabrina, you know I wanted nothing to do with this fold. But I've attempted every challenge so far this year, and I wasn't going to let this one beat me. I have the day off from work today, so today was the day to knuckle down and make this card (which is like three or four in one--so much real estate to cover!). My mom is turning 70 on Tuesday and she's one of the only people that I would be willing to do this much work for. I've combined this with Sabrina's "Whiteout" challenge today. I tried to do the whitewashing technique, but I couldn't get the ink to show when I was painting it on. So I grabbed a tiny makeup brush and sponged the white ink into my flowers and leaves. And laid a bit of color in the flowers and leaves using Tombow markers. The fold itself was actually really easy. I just had such a hard time deciding what to cover all the surfaces with.

Yellow, white, and gingham -nothing shouts 'get lost winter' more than that! You can tell that spring is coming slowly to where I live can't you? Gorgeous card to celebrate a very special lady and birthday!

See, I said it truly was an easy fold, and pretty DP can do most of the work for you. But I understand the feeling, I'm like that with the tri-shutter. That floral white stamping is so pretty, even if it didn't turn out like you expected for the whitewash. Hmm, I've never had that trouble, but I don't think I've tried on anything other than kraft. Whatever, it's a really beautiful happy card for your mum. The 70 looks great in the aperture like that.

Your Mom is going to love this, Jen! The flowers look wonderful and every bit of this is bright and cheerful! I think you got every inch of the card to perfection!

Bright & sunny and sure to bring good cheer. The white on yellow gives a very soft feminine feel to this Pick a Corner card. I know the feeling you described of "what to cover all those surfaces with" . . . I did cut and construct my corner card but it's still sitting blank because I can't decide on theme or DP . . .Kudos to you for bringing yours to completion.
