This was my second entry for a retirement card for my DH's boss. I would have made more, but with just the two I made, DH had a hard time choosing one. Again, I took the opportunity to make a Jennifer McGuire card. Here is the video link:
I absolutely love the new purple ink colors by SU but don't have the cs yet, so first I took my Highland Heather ink pad direct to paper as well as the Gorgeous Grape ink pad to create purple panels for this card.
I then die cut Highland Heather and Wild Wasabi layered floral die A panels and a Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green die B panels. I layered the purples together and backed them with Elegant Eggplant, I layered the greens together and backed them with a misc. green cs.
Next was the fun of cutting out the floral layers which are popped up with craft foam. I also cut out a few leaves and tucked them behind.
The sentiment is a combination from Perfect Pairings and Deco Borders & Corners.
I really like how this turned out as did my DH. We ended up giving both cards to his retiring boss.
It was fun to finally try these cards. Thanks for looking!
