The cold came to my house last night. It's 5 degrees with a -12 degree wind chill and it hurts out there. I can't imagine what it felt like for all of you in the midwest!
I needed to make some milestone birthday cards today. Cathy's dotty challenge today inspired me to make this Mickey Mouse card for my cousin's one year old son. I pulled out my drawer of scrap paper and grabbed a bunch of polka dotted paper. All of the paper for these two cards came from my scrap drawer. I didn't cut into any full size sheets today! I'm very proud of myself. My cousin's birthday is Saturday, so I realized I better get her card into the mail today. I was going to grab a card from my stash until I realized she is turning 40. Thanks for the fun challenge, Cathy!

The Mickey Mouse is sure to be a hit with the one yr. old and both are so fun with the polka dots. Great way to use up scraps and save the full sheets. Sorry about the cold. I think we were 19 this morning and that is waaay too cold for me but I can't imagine some of the temps out there.

Those are both such fun cards, Jen. I especially like all the different patterns in the Mickey one.
I always need to remind myself that anything below 32 is freezing for you - for us, it's not freezing till it's below 0 and 19C would be a comfortable Irish summer day, LOL. Well done on using stash paper and not cutting into something new today!

Cute use of all the dots! I really like the Mickey Mouse bg for the #1...and that 40 one is really fun and cheery (when I turned 40 I never wanted something reminding me how old I was....40 is seeming really young to me now)...we had another -26 degree morning....goin' warm up some today..fingers crossed.

Brrr, that sounds colder than I have ever experienced in my lifetime. Stay in, warm and safe, and stamp to your hearts delight. These are adorable birthday cards.

Both cards are great, Jennifer. Both are so wonderfully done with LOTS of polka dots. Sure Mickey will be a hit with the little one. And the one for someone who is a bit older wil equally be appreciated.

Love that you did not cut in to any full sized sheets of papers to make these great mile stone cards Jennifer. Really nicely done. I love it when I can make cards with the stuff in my scrap drawers.
