I started out with a 5 3/4" square which I covered with glue and silver paint in an attempt at faux barnboard crackle, and because it didn't crackle much I stencilled Rock Candy crackle paint on through Penrose stencil from ArtistCellar.
The next step Ky gave us was to add washi tape, masking tape, strips with script on them, etc. I used some washi tape, and stamped my own script on tissue paper (Season by Season, and a sentiment from Stampendous) which I then stuck on with mod podge.
The next stage was to add colour - I spritzed mine with a mix of Brusho acrylic sprays and shimmer sprays, and Lindy's Starburst.
I also stamped the mitten from Flaky Friends, and some assorted snowflakes using various inks. I added colour to some of the mittens with Sharpies.
Next was to think of our images - I stamped, coloured and fussy-cut my snowman. Because I had stamped some snowflakes in yellow, I gave him a yellow scarf.
For the finishing details I used a graphite stick to add shadow behind my snowman (and Microglaze which I hope sealed it). I added more washi tape, and a bird which was sitting on my desk, so that the snowman has something to look at. As I had covered up my first "Winter" with the bird, I stamped it again above the snowman. I cut a base and drew a double line border, and then stamped one of the stamps from Snow Flurries round the edge before adding my main panel. There's a little doodling with a white Posca paint pen and a silver gel pen, and finally I added yellow Stickles to the snowman's hat.

Such an adorable scene. I love it when I find something on my desk that works for a project going on. This robin is perfect with the snowman. Love reading of all the steps you took. Must look for a graphite stick and thanks for the reminder of the Microglaze. I have a little pot of that somewhere so must put it out in sight and use it.

Sweet! It looks like the bird is talking to the snowman. Your crackle bg has a wonderful wintry feel, perfect to add the sequins. Wonderful results, Sabrina.
