This will be going to a fellow art gallery member who just donated a nice chunk of change to the gallery. This is a NEW stamp courtesy of our dear Dr. Sonja! I use up paper scraps often by doing a mosaic technique, but this background mosaic was the FIRST I ever made from fabric snippets. (I have made a couple more since then ) They're so easy and fun to do. Just layer your chosen snips onto the back of a mailing label, sticky side up. When using paper, I just use EP to fill in the gaps. With the fabric, I used Versamark over the entire finished mosaic and sprinkled clear EP over it all and heat it. I ran it through an EF to really smash things together. I stamped this plain fabric sample scrap and zig-zagged it on the top.

Love the tips on how we too can make this art at home! This is so fabulous! Cheers to the year to make art out of anything! I can't wait to see what else it brings. Which reminds me I totally saved a Discover card envelope today. It was so sparkly and holographic that I simply couldn't throw it away.

This must be wonderful to hold and feel with all that texture, and the colours in your scraps are wonderful - they remind me of textiles I have seen from Nepal and Thailand.
Your always creative and doing fabulous outside the box work absolutely always creatively exploratory with no fear . Your amazing artist that dances to your own drums . Which therefore produces absolutely magnificent masterpieces Sis Lori. That is what I love of so many on SCS . Everyone isn’t afraid to dance to their own beat of drums. And imaginations wild and abundantful and to share it is to love it even more. Mahalo for always sharing Sis. Another of your masterpieces here MMFS!!

You did what!!! Oh my goodness Lori, this is brilliant, I can't stop looking at this. Thanks for all the details, especially about filling in the sticky bit gaps. It's taken me ages to write this comment, I keep scrolling back for another look. Your generous friend is going to love this for sure. TFS
