This card is full of sparkle and shine! It was madeThe base is Stampin' Up! (SU) Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The pretty gold foil pine cone vellum layer is from the 6" SU "Winter Wonderland" Designer Vellum Stack. To emphasize the gold pine cones and needles, I matted it with SU Basic Black cardstock, leaving an 1/8" mat around all four sides. To do this I used a craft sponged dipped in Tombow glue, then THINLY coated the entire back of the vellum before laying it down on the black cardstock. Be sure to press the vellum down firmly since it has a tendency to curl. This matted pine cone panel was then glued to the card front.
The sentiment is from the retired SU "Bright & Beautiful" stamp set. I stamped it onto SU Whisper White cardstock using SU Cherry Cobbler ink. I then die cut it with a Spellbinders circle die. It was matted with a scalloped circle I cut from Recollections glitter cardstock using the Spellbinders scalloped circle die that was one size larger than the diecut circle.
Since glitter paper isn't known for sticking well to just about anything. I used the super sticky red double-sided tape to attache the white circle to it.
Before attaching the sentiment element to the card front, I die cut two different fern shapes from SU Cherry Cobbler cardstock using Spellbinders "Ferns" die set. I attached these to the back of the circle, then used adhesive foam strips liberally on the back of the scalloped sentiment piece to attach it to the card front.
I an rating this card's difficulty level as a "1" out of a possible "5" because the beautiful foil vellum and great dies make the card super easy to do, yet look so elegant!
