It's that time of the month again....the 15th....time for the Dueling Darlings to reveal their cards. Darlene (Team Dazzlers) and LJ (Team Divas) are the hostesses for this month. They came up with the theme of Aviation...since November is National Aviation Month.
"National Aviation History Month is dedicated to exploring, recognizing and celebrating Americaâs great contributions and achievements in the development of aviation. Aviation history refers to the history of development of mechanical flight â from the earliest attempts in kites and gliders to powered heavier-than-air, supersonic and space flights"
I decided to go with a vintage look with this kit. I did sponging of the distress ink around the edge of the background paper...curling the sides to make it look old. Next I took some of the other paper...cut a rectangle...then tore around the edge. Used the distress ink again on the torn paper. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the tag....again used the same distress ink on the tag to make the design pop.
I have been to many an airshow with DH. I decided that this would be a great birthday card for him.
This was a great challenge....thanks LJ and Darlene!! Loved the items that LJ sent!
Thanks for popping in for a look.....may all your skies be blue!
