Ah, Shirley (wannabcre8itve) and Janelle (dizzymommie), you've extended my favorite season today with your challenges, Fall for the F4A and a Royal Garden for the MIX'es 300th. Congratulations on reaching 300! These were easy to combine in my 'story line:buried in leaves'.
I used a favorite solid image stamp of which sadly, I've lost track of the maker. It is an asymmetrical tree trunk with the branches visible. If you tilt it in just the right way, you can see the tiny leaves. I stamped it with VersaMark directly to a piece of Alcohol Ink paper I had created recently. I embossed it with clear ep. And then colored it with the TH 'Gathering Twigs' and the white gel pen to spotlight some of the leaves. I used a die cut to make a place for the lovely sentiment.
Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile.
William Cullen Bryant.
The band at the top is Washi tape and Vintage German scrap. I used Cosmo Cricket letter stickers to spell out time. And the Kokomo leaf. Again stamped on the Alcohol Ink paper, embossed and fussy cut.
My Mix300: Royal Garden is the Fall Garden where all the trees show up dressed in the seasons brightest color. And F4A...it's all FALL.
Thanks for stopping by. If I disappear from the galleries, send out a search party...I just might be buried in leaves....

Fabulous alcohol ink background for the awesome tree. And the top of your card is great with the washi tape and the German vintage scrap.

Saw your comment on my card saying we'd used the same quote! It's such a wonderful quote. I love your card with that gorgeous alcohol ink background in perfect autumn colours!

Wow, Susan, It was the gorgeous band at the top of this card that caught me eye. Looking at the entire card, though, it is very appealing in it's entirety! Cutting out a window for the sentiment and stamping that tree stamp were great ways to make a design and use the paper to greatest benefit! I hope this card doesn't disappear because it is so beautiful, allergies or not, I would have to search through all the leaves until it was found again!
