This is for two challenges; Clean and Simple where we were to make a thank you card, and Technique Lovers challenge where we were to use paper we've used as a work mat for other projects.
When I saw the combination of colors I thought of camouflage. When I thought of thankful, I thought of all the soldiers who have fought to keep us all free. I made a Veterans Day card. I am making 80 cards for South Carolina Juvenile Justice System. They will be teaching the juveniles all about Veterans Day then the residents will write thank you cards to soldiers.
I think that is a well-needed topic to teach these teens.
I stamped the soldier then the stars and lastly the greeting. I roughed up the sentiment with my distressing tool to give it a more masculine look.

Really awesome...my Dad was a WWII vet and one of his good friends is still with us. 97, sharp as a tack, except he has a dementia where he can't get the words to come out. But he knows what he wants to say. He is the most awesome man. His memory is amazing. He, my Dad and several other vets built a WWII memorial here in town, all by their own hands. It still stands. Thank you for your service to the kids and the vets.

What a great card and a lesson that the kids should learn! (My parents were married on Veterans Day which was originally on Oct. 12 so I got a lesson at an early age.) Thank you for the cards you have made, Sue!

I love this. My husband is retired AF. Thanks for doing what you are doing with the cards and teaching younger generations about Veterans Day and our vets.
