It's a Torn Paper beach scene for today's Technique Challenge. I used real sand for the beach, puffy applique pen for the waves, glitter for the sea and fuzzy flock for the sky. The sailboat, clouds & the sun were cut from Scan n Cut patterns. First, I peeled back the protective paper and dipped it in the sand. Then I peeled a little more to add the white waves with the white puffy marker. Next, I stuck down all the cut pieces. I masked the horizon and flocked the sky. Masked the sky and sprinkled the glitter for the water. Puffed up the waves a little with a heat gun. Decided the sun needed a face and the vintage #'s are in honor of DH's sloop. A very fun and tactile card to make. Wish the pic showed all the shine!

Clever! Way to go with all that texture, which is really what a beach is all about. Your white sand is amazing, and the puffy pen is cool for the whitecaps. Now you have me regretting that I'm pretty much committed to driving or to my aunt tomorrow, instead of taking the train which is a trip along the coast.
