I made this card for this week's Alphabet challenge for the letter N. The double challenge is for the N to be something in Nature. The N in this card is for Northern Cardinal which is definitely part of nature. I also taught how to make this card in a recent card class. There are many steps to this card, but it is easier to make than one first thinks, and really striking in real life with this bold red bird splashed against the birch-tree grays. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

I love the levels of red in the cardinal giving it great dimension! Is the shaved ice the same as SU's mica flakes from a while back? I need to use mine more! Great N card!

What a beauty, Karen! Love the sparkly shaker pieces....the gray is a perfect backdrop color as it goes so well with red! You chose the best sentiment because this card is peaceful, lovely and full of joy (at least that's how it makes me feel)! ; )

Gorgeous shaker card, Karen! Your red cardinal is so striking and really pops against the background. I like the soft wood grain in the background of the shaker part and your sparkly sequins - I think they are sequins - in the shaker. Fabulous card!

GORGEOUS cardinal and lovely layout and color palette for your shaker card. Such glistening white sparklies for your shaker window and love your banner die-cut red-inked sentiment .
