I am in love with the color combo of purple and yellow so I knew I had to make a card (s) for this image here, and also wanted to participate in PTI's Transformation Tuesday (see below). By the way, thanks Brenda for the great inspiration site - I think this is my 4th card, ha!!!
I loved Keeway Tsao's card that she made here for the PTI blog when the stamp set first came out. So that was my starting point (with a few minor changes). Stamped and die cut the birds, stamped the branches and leaves on the card front, sponged a bg and stamped the sentiment. Splattered some water/blotted, splattered some of the card colors. Then, I then adhered the birds.
Loved it, but wanted to see how it looked with the birds stamped rather than die cut, so on the second card I stamped the birds first and then masked them before adding the branches, leaves and yellow/orange flowers. Then of course the sponging and splattering (only with water on this card, though). Matted this one in black and adhered to card front. I love them both, actually, but I have a bit of a preference for the stamped/masked birds rather than the die cut ones.

Maura, your cards are gorgeous! Love the purple and yellow together! I rarely use purple, but your card inspires me to use my purples more!
Your birds are awesome, love them both ways!
