This was a fun little thing to make. A little bit daunting at first, because it was mixed media on such a small canvas, but I solved it by using everything. LOL! First I stamped the apple, masked and sponged the wooden table in Vintage Photo. Then I sponged around the edges with Antique Linen and scribbled around the apple with my Olive Spectrum Aqua marker and swooshed the color around with water. Then I went a cuddled on the couch with my Raleigh while it dried. When I came back, I colored the apple with Spectrum Noir CG2, CR7, and CR11. And finished my coloring with colored pencils on both the apple and the table to give the some texture. To really give it that apple for teacher look, I masked off the apple and stamped the script background. I really love the look a script background will give anything. And finally added some black Enamel Accents to balance that thick border of the apple.

Oh gosh, seeing this has made me think of the perfect apple stamp I could use - in fact a whole set which is mostly the right size for this scale. You're right, it was a bit daunting at first to work on such a small canvas. I really like script backgrounds too , I think it looks great. This is so sweet, Jen.
