Today I'm uploading the first two cards I made for Jan's (heartsong47) Tickle a Teapotter Summer Fun challenge. The third card is in two parts, I don't want to overload the gallery today ;-).
I created the diorama card with sponging on white card and assembled it. The rolling sand was just hand-cut. I didn't have a suitable boat so I just sketched one in on the horizon after stamping the sea with IO's wavy lines and embossing with crystal EP, then adding some Stickles.
My bathing lady and beach huts were stamped on light watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils, then fussy-cut. I used a snippet of ribbon to create a towel for her to lie on, fraying the ends.
The starfish and shells were also stamped on the watercolour paper and I added Glossy Accents to the shells.

Love the vintage feel to this one, and as always, your wonderful attention to details makes me feel like I'm sitting there on a little ribbon towel too.

This is one cool card, wow!!! What first struck me was the sparkle on the waves, they look so dimensional and realistic--beautiful! You have such neat touches, like the fussy cut lady (reminds me of a beautiful vintage SU stamp set) on the sweet "towel", LOVE!!! what an amazing scene, so many great elements!!! Love the narrow buildings on the left, they look so vintage and worn--amazing! This is a treasure of a card!!!
Thank you so much for leaving a comment on the card I made for my nephew's 16th, Ben's 16th! card. It meant a lot to see a comment from you!!! You have been so supportive of my cards for a long time, and that support and encouragement has really been so uplifting and helpful and I appreciate it and you more than I know how to say. I tend to be a bit insecure when it comes to my cards and I've realized a lot of it comes from attending a card-making weekend several years ago where many of the women involved were very nasty and judgemental about my cards--I've realized lately it's still been bothering me and it's time to let it go and I realize that these nasty women's views need to be forgotten.
I admire your cards so much, so when you have left a comment on my cards, it has been especially exciting and uplifting to me. It's important that I thank you, not only for leaving a comment on this one card, but also to let you know just how much your kindness and support has meant to me for all of the comments you have left for me. Sabrina, you are such a kind person and it's an honor to have your comments on my card uploads. thank you again!!!
