Lisa is throwing a tea party this week for Christi (Craf-T-Bear). Christi is having health issues and we would love to cheer her.
My card was created using a Sizzix Impresslits frame with matching die cut. I love being able to emboss and cut at the same time.
I die cut two of the kitties and fussy cut one, then placed inside the frame.
My card is what Jennifer McGuire (you tube) shows as a fake shaker card. I just placed sequins to the top and punched some stars which I colored with Copics. You do not need to use acetate for this easy card. Of course, none of it will shake. But, I do love the ease of making it.
I used Copics to color the kittens and stars. Hope Christi will like it.

I totally love this great frame and that you can cut and emboss at the same time. Jennifer McGuire has some terrific tutorials and tips and the "fake" shaker is perfect for the challenge with those great crafty sequins. Christi is totally going to smile at this super adorable card.

This card is purrfect for Christi! You never know Brenda, these fabulous felines look like they are purring up a storm so maybe those sequins will start shaking yet! Ha! I love your background so thank you for sharing how this was made. There is something so comforting about the sound of a cat purring so I know Christi will adore this fabulous card you made for her! ~Karen.

I have never seen a faux shaker card before, but I like it! Flatter and you don't have to worry about the sequins falling out! Love the embossed die cut and your cute kitties.

Glad to hear a good report of those cut and emboss die/folders, Brenda. I have seen some here but was reluctant to consider getting any till I heard whether they worked well - and I can see they do. Your faux shaker looks great with those sweet kitties - and will be easier to mail, too.
