My husband picked out my image today. He's very excited because today is his favorite day of the year. We take our Independence Day celebrations very seriously here in Freetown. Tonight is the fireworks and tomorrow morning is the parade. The flags are all lined up on the parade route and we're getting ready to host a cookout with all of our family and friends. So I had to make a quick and easy card today. After I printed out Edward the Elephant, I decided that it would be fun to put him in this scene at the Capitol that I had in my Colorbok paper pack. So I cut him out with my ScanNCut and it was as simple as that. But, after I put it together, I realized it would've made a great selfie card. Darnit. Next time.
Oh! Sounds like you are going to have a fabulous day!!! This is stunning! Jumps right off the gallery! Your coloring is terrific. I just love the mix of photo-type designer paper and character stamping! too cute! Faved!

With a name like Freetown I can totally see how the town would feel quite patriotic. So much history and nation shaping in some of our original colonies, I love learning about all of them. Great card to celebrate our freedom and country.
Have a Happy Fourth of July, Jen!

What fun to have so much going on for the 4th. We had family parties for 35 years on the 4th. Enough! I love your DH's choice of the ellie! So cute, mf!
