The woman I send cards to for Send a Smile 4 Kids needs summer cards, especially for young children. I got the "Chicks & Flower Foil" sticker sheet at Hobby Lobby (for 50% off!) with the express purpose of making such cards in mind. This is one.
I began by taking a panel of purple cardstock I'd already cut to 4x5.25", and die cut 3 hexagon windows in it. Then I embossed it with the "Honeycomb" folder. I adhered it with foam tape to a piece of teal cardstock cut to A2 size. I glued my chick puffy stickers in the windows, using liquid glue just to make sure they won't come off.
I die cut a banner using the "washi tape" die from "Blueprints 13." I adhered it to my card front. I threaded a button from Recollections with baker's twine, tied it in a bow, and glued it onto my card front at one end of the banner. Finally, I adhered my card front to a white card base.
