I kind of struggled with this challenge, trying to find something "comforting." I finally settled on soft colors, and used a butterfly, since they are a symbol of children who have passed away.
I stamped the butterfly onto bristol paper with Soft Granite ink, using my MISTI. I colored the sections with Tombow markers, keeping the color palette soft. After I'd finished coloring, I placed the paper back into my MISTI, and overstamped with Black Shimmer ink. When that was dry, I die cut it with the coordinating die.
For the 2 teal strips, I stamped the smaller butterfly of the same design in Versamark all over the panels, then heat embossed with White Pearl powder. I had a few larger gaps in between some of the butterflies, so I filled them in with a tiny solid butterfly stamp from the same set, & heat embossed them as well. I had already cut the panels before I started stamping, and just taped them together on the back so my stamping would line up. I also made sure to label which was on the left & right so I would put them on my card base correctly!
I stamped the greeting on a strip of dark teal cardstock. I heat embossed it with white powder, but the powder didn't cover all that well. Thankfully, I had used my MISTI to stamp that as well, so I just popped the paper back in, restamped, and heat embossed a second time. That did the trick! When the powder had cooled, I trimmed the piece down into a strip.
To assemble my card, I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back of each of the light teal panels. I adhered them to my white card base. I added a bit of fun foam in the center of the greeting strip, where it bridged the gap between the panels, and applied liquid glue to the ends to adhere it in place. Finally, I repeated that process with the butterfly.

Andrea, this is beautiful. Very soft and peaceful. I think most of us struggled with this one. I'm betting those embossed panels look even more beautiful in real life. I like the slight dimension you added to them.
