Sadly, I needed a sympathy card today instead of a cheery citrus card for the CAS challenge. I can't keep up with sympathy card demand right now. And this one is for a very special person. One of our best friends, an Iraq war veteran, has, as too many of our veterans do, taken his life. We're off to his funeral this morning and he will certainly never ever be forgotten.

Beautiful card for such a sad occasion. My sympathies.

Oh, Jennifer, I am so sincerely sorry for this loss. Our poor veterans are dealing with so much trauma and not being given the care and services they need and deserve IMO. This is really a lovely card; beautiful background for your gold embossed flower.

I am so very, very sorry that you lost a friend in this tragic way...as you said, it is happening too often. You chose such a comforting image and a perfect sentiment for your card.
