This is my card for Pat's Sending ComfortTPT challenge. We are sending comfort to members of sweet Robin's family who recently suffered a tragic loss. So hard to make a card, even harder to find words! But comfort made me think of quilts. I made this one with stars and hearts, and added the Inuit proverb inside "Perhaps they are not stars but but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy." I hope that's not inappropriate.
IO Lace background stamped with Hickory Smoke DOX on white card. Flowering Flourishes stamped over in Versafine Smokey Grey, sentiment from Open Heart embossed in black.
WhipperSnapper Homespun Quilts, blocks stamped in black and embossed on watercolour paper, then coloured with chipped sapphire re-inker and violet Brusho. Spattered with gold Twinkling H2O. Stars and hearts coloured with Twinkling H2Os. Surrounded with a Delicate Details border stamped and embossed in gold, sponged with Antique Linen distress. Quilt popped up on foam.

I think that Inuit proverb is a beautiful thought! Very pretty quilt! I need to get that sentiment because it is certainly true! Thanks for coming to tea.

That sentiment is beautiful, Sabrina--perfect, in my opinion. Your card shows much love and caring--that is a beautiful image and the gold accents make it even more so!

WOW this is beautiful Sabrina. You're framing is always something to admire and I LOVE the quote..I think it's perfect for this difficult time. The splattering of gold watercolors is lovely.

Just a stunning quilt, Sabrina. My mother was a wonderful quilter and her many quilts she made for me over the years, and the ones I inherited when she passed, are a huge source of comfort to me. Also, that Inuit quote is one of my all-time favorites to include in sympathy cards - I think it's perfect. Your card is headed straight into my faves!

My Sabrina a very wonderful verse. I never heard that one....LOVE it...what a comforting thought. A parent should never have to bury a child. I like your sentiment on the front, so true, I think that works so well n a card, as losing someone, its not necessarily the words but that our family and friends are just there or thinking of us. I love your cute little quilt, shining down the love and stars...sweet...and I think a nice comfy quilt around me is like a big hug.....TFS..:0)

Nothing like a quilt to bring comfort in troubled times. I like the celestial image of the heaven, stars and heart and the soothing colors. Nicely done.
