This is for Misti's CAS Challenge - Backyard Picnic and Toni's WTUI Challenge - Apples.
Red gingham reminds me of a picnic tablecloth. This image has it all for both challenges: apples, picnic basket, outdoors, and even a bird to try to steal the food. I used a "Thank you" and a heart for all the hard-working teachers out there.
The image was watercolored with ink on the lid and refill ink. The long-retired gingham paper is Riding Hood Red, which I used for the apples. Fun challenges. Thanks for looking!

This is a fabulous picnic for the bird whose about to eat his fill! This is a really sweet card. I love the coloring of the basket and the gingham ribbon!

Such a fun addition to our picnic challenge! Love how you took one of my favorite SU bird images and made it fresh and new by doing it in watercolors. And the gingham dsp made me droll -it’s the perfect backdrop for this handsome image. Popping this into my favs so I can refresh my memory on the colors you used for watercoloring. Love this card -TFS!
