Such a fun Technique Challenge today! And such a great idea from Sabrina. After looking thru my stencils & not liking what I had for this technique, I remembered this wonderful Umbrella Man die that I have not used. I thought all the openness of the die would lend itself to doodling.
I die cut the umbrella man out of copy paper, traced it & then added all the doodled lines. I used just a few light colors of Copics here & there then added the greeting. A couple of layers & a few raindrops & done.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & Copic colors: The Write Stuff

Wow!!! Julie, this is fantastic. I'm glad that the die option worked out for you. Your zentangle-like doodling is incredible. Sometimes on the way to work if I have been to LIDL I see a man in a rather "loud" check overcoat...and it's all in the pattern, because the colours are very muted. It always makes me smile, and this has exactly the same effect. A wonderful pick-me-up for someone under the weather.
