My card is full of die cutting....I picked up this gatefold card die from Spellbinders on clearance at HB. Though it's supposed to be "wedding" theme... I think this card die is perfect for any occasion with it's trellis style panels adorned with flowers...that's why I picked it up ;-)
I die cut my card base and adhered coordinating glittered DSP. Everything was inked with either honey distress Ink or purple ink. I then adhered all the coordinating scrolled die cut pieces. Flowers were die cut, inked and ran through Heartfelt Creations all purpose flower mold. Flowers were adhered with foam tape. The butterfly was die cut and attached with liquid glue. The gatefold doors were hole punched and a coordinating frilly yarn closer was attached. Finally golden yellow glitter gems were added to the flower centers

OMGosh, Tracy (hope I got that right!), this is STUNNING! What marvelous colors and beautiful butterfly and flowers. Love your open-cut diecut used in the gatefold style with that lovely shape to make it really look like a gate! Your tie looks like crocheted silk with the wonderful sheen and ombre-style coloring! (I just read your description again, and I see it is the open-crochet looking yarn that my Mom makes lovely scarves out of!)

Oh wow! You have made a beautiful card based on Carlene's gorgeous inspiration card. I love the colors you used here and these dies showcase everything so beautifully. The flowers, butterfly and yarn really add a lot of depth and dimension to your card. ~Karen.
