I started out with embossing the old olive background.
I felt it was missing a lot!
So I used the punch to punch out a window for me to lay a sentiment in behind. I found the window got a little lost as the mat and background are the same colour so I sponged the edges with black memento. That really helped to draw my eye to the sentiment.
Still a little bland. That's where the ribbon came in. I also used wink of stella to add some shimmer to the tall grasses.
My mother is here for March break. She is a sewer not a card maker. I begged her to come and watch me for a little as I am certain I can get her into this yet. It didn't take long...
She said I needed a dragonfly as there are always dragonflies in the tall grass when we go fishing. She was also very specific that it had to match the blue dragonflies we see so often when out on the lake.
She got really excited when I added it to the card. I didn't tell her but I think she is hooked! As she did ask me to wait before making the next card as she had to make another coffee
Thanks for looking!
