I was soooooo excited to get my hands on the Paws-itivity set (from Simon Says Stamp's Friends release), so when that showed up Tuesday, the same day I was in dire need of a few quick Thank-You cards, I hopped on the SSS blog for some inspiration and found just what I was looking for! (http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/bl...o-use-sequins/) This is a pretty blatant CASE of Nina's glorious design, but I fell in love when I saw it and thought would be both quick and cheerful. Well, it definitely is cheerful, but quick? Not so much when you need to make four of them and have to hand-color and hand-cut four of *every* element on the card! Hehe
I watercolored one of the four sets of paws, but that was extremely time-consuming and took me pretty much all of the first night (with the hour I had "free' to work on these). The second night I finished coloring the pawprints on the remaining cards (this time with plain colored pencils) and cutting them out. Today, I was pleased to find some inspiration in F4A4120 (Barbie-inspired - what's more "Barbie" than hot pink and electric turquoise?!) to finish these things off and get them in the mail - three days after I'd hoped to be able to! I also added some Glossy Accents to the paw pads to make them more life-like, which doesn't show up well at all in this early-morning-light photo (I took a close-up picture as well of this and added it to my gallery if you'd like a peek!).
Thanks so much for the great challenges that helped me get these cards finished - I had *so* much fun with them, and can hardly wait to play more with this adorable stamp set!
Blessings,
C

So cute! Love your clever idea. What a fun card! The bright pink and blue are perfect for the Barbie challenge. Love the fun pun sentiment. Well done! TFS
