Last night I borrowed a page from Sabrina's playbook and tried a little art therapy. I wasn't planning to make a card, I was just testing out some new to me distress crayons. I bought those last week during a bit of "buy myself a present" therapy. I scribbled some colors through a stencill and spritzed with
water resulting in an ugly mess. When you start off with an ugly mess, you can be more experimental and creative since you are not worried about ruining something you like. I stamped the butterflies and flowerd and was about to dump the entire disaster. There are 2 good options for bad art attrmpts...go with mixed media and also try a bg stamp. I stamped the grid, added some gold and white splatter, then sponged the edges. For the F4A challenge i used the word Refresh from a box of dry eye drops. I used both warm and cool colors for the CT0218 challenge, and I splattered for the MIX challenge. TFL, Francie

I read your description before I had even seen your card....wow, I was expecting something creative, but not as spectacular as this mixed media masterpiece. Wow Francie this is fabulous, weirdo arty stuff at its best mate! No one uses Sharpies as brilliantly as you do, your flowers look amazing! The random stamping looks terrific and I love the layout with the equally special back panel. Winner!

This is a mixed media beauty, Francie, so vibrant and colourful! Thanks for the tips, I must remember to take them on board when I start with a mess, ha!

Awesome card! I'm so glad you didn't scrap the whole thing
I just love all the bright, bold colors--you know I'm always a fan of your colors. Brilliant use of product packaging for your recycled bit!

Therapy cards are great , make more of them! I love your use of the TH flowers, I don't use mine enough. They make a gorgeous happy meadow, and I especially love the grid stamp on it. The colours remind me a lot of the Basic Grey "Indian Summer" pad, which was a lovely one. I'm glad you kept going through the messy stage and came out like a butterfly from the chrysalis to brighten the gallery.

My goodness, what a gorgeous, gorgeous card this is! I have these very stamps and I know I will never come up with anything even close to this beauty. My mind is still spinning from everything you did to this card, but I am so glad you persevered because you have made an incredible work of art here! ~Karen.

Ooh, I love this card bursting with awesome color. The stamped grid looks great. I love your kind of "buy myself a present" therapy. And, look what happened with that therapy....a super mixed media card. Love it!
