Another Spring-themed card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. I stamped the flower onto a scrap of mixed media paper with Putty ink, to do a bit of semi-no-line watercoloring. (I say "semi," because you can still see the lines, but they are faint.) I colored the image with my Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the color from the pencils and apply it to the paper. When the paper had dried, I die cut it with a circle die. I used my Mission Gold watercolors (specifically a blue color) to paint a "halo" around the perimeter of the circle, just for an added bit of framing.
I cut a panel of patterned paper (an ancient one by K & Company, but I don't know the pattern name) and adhered it to a purple cardstock panel. I punched 2 border strips from green cardstock, and glued them above & below the patterned paper. Then I adhered my image circle in place.
I created the greeting in Photoshop, and printed it onto a strip of mixed media paper, then adhered that to my card front. I threaded 2 purple buttons with silver metallic sewing thread, and tied a triple bow in each button--not the easiest venture in the world, believe me! Finally, I glued the buttons down with Perfect Paper Adhesive (matte finish), and adhered my card front to a white card base.
