Made this for the floral challenge over at PTI as part of their anniversary celebrations. Not your typical floral colours, but we are in the deepest part of winter where I live (30" deep, to be precise- yes, I measured) and I am always struck by the contrast between the snow and the grey sky and the little frosty details on every surface in between. These flowers are supposed to be Queen Anne's Lace I think, but in my mind they resemble the spent flowerheads of our local Cow Parsnip, which are tall enough to rise above the snow and delight us with their blooms of frost. The sentiment that "the whole world is a garden" seemed fitting, finding blossoms in the snows of February.
