My last card for the week and although the photo doesn't do it justice I think this is my favourite for this week.
I was too traumatised by the Teapot Tuesday cards for them to be favourites despite what everyone thinks lol
Yet another card for the technique challenge, had so much fun with this challenge...right up my ally. This card has three layers of colour, first layer I put night of navy, Pink Pirouette and twisted citron onto the acetate sprayed it with water and let it run, then placed the card over the top pulled it off dabbed up some of the excess then hit it with my heat tool.
Second layer I just used Distress Oxide - Worn Lipstick and went through the same process.
Third layer was Distress Oxide Twisted Citron, same process.
Next step was to pick up some water on my fingertips and flick it over the card, let it sit for a minute or two and then blot it with paper towel...I did this twice.
Finally I sprayed the whole thing with m glitter mist to give it a lovely shimmer.
The next step was to stamp the pine bough with wild wasabi just to give a little depth.
I stamped and heat embossed the baubles next and used the Misti positioner for all stamping at this point. I heat embossed the baubles then used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to position the string and bows and heat embossed them. The greeting was the last to go on then I attached the Lemon Lime Twist pine needles using the SU Fine-Tip Glue Pen ...I love this glue for attaching fine work and parchment it is brilliant. Last of all I did the matting.
Everything went together perfectly no dramas nothing lost or damaged and despite lots of ink and water very little mess thanks to baking paper, that's why it's my favourite ..... it's the good child lol
The card is also for the colour challenge, the sketch challenge and the DD Christmas Challenge.
Cheers
Marg

Oh, Marg, this is gorgeous! Your background is amazing, and it reminds me of the very early mornings when we would wake up and sneak downstairs to see what Santa had left. Of course, we had strict rules and could only look at our stockings so we couldn't get our parents up so early (having their having been up till the wee hours getting everything ready). Back then they would do everything, including put up the tree, decorate it all, wrap the remaining gifts, and finally fill our stockings. This is such a beautiful card with the colors, your baubles hanging from the beautiful branches, and the colors! Totally love this card! And it's great that you've joined in making Christmas cards early! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
