This is my card for this week's Teapot Tuesday, where we are taking inspiration from 2 Van Gogh paintings, Starry Night and one of his sunflower paintings. This didn't quite come out as I first envisioned it (I was going to use more flowers, for one, but they were bigger than I remembered.) The sparkly sentiment on the dark blue background is a nod to Starry Night. For some reason the sentiment (Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.) just seemed to fit -- maybe because Van Gogh didn't always agree with that.

This is so pretty! I love the gold embossed sentiment on the dark blue circle, beautiful! And your sunflowers are so lovely. It all looks lovely on the light blue background. Gorgeous!

I really like the sentiment you chose and that you took inspiration from both paintings and included something from each on your card. Lovely! I agree with what you said about the gallery....it's one of the prettiest ever. Glad you joined in Sandy

All my sunflowers are big too, even my smaller ones! These ones are really fine and beautiful specimens, and adding the dark blue sentiment inspired by Starry Night was a great idea, it looks super.

Absolutely beautiful!! I am impressed with how clear your verse is in the heat embossing - I can never get mine to look that neat.
