When we were in San Francisco, we all went to the deYoung Museum for the Summer of Love celebrating 50 years! (How to feel old!) That was the same year I moved from Illinois to SF. I was greeted at the airport by a friend that gave me a bouquet of daisies.
The exhibit was a walk down memory lane from Janis Joplin to The Grateful Dead and everyone else in between. We all really enjoyed the exhibit! The grandsons loved the room that was round with videos going nonstop, and they got to sit on the floor and watch.
I made the tie dye like I did many years ago as the tutorial used a coffee filter, and I didn't have any. But I did have thin fabric making it more realistic! It did take time for it to dry, however. Attached it with tape.
Great challenge!

How fun is this...i love your tie dye fabric card. It just pops out of the gallery and has such a fantastic 60s feel. What would a 60s card be without daisies...they look fabulous.

Spectacular! Your tie dye is amazing! Good to know that the technique works well with fabric and a little drying time. Loved reading about your trip to SF. Sounds like a neat (or groovy?) museum!

Groovy card and what great memories! I'm old enough to remember the summer of love...and when I went to SF I made my friend take me to Haight Ashbury....loved it!

Everything about this is brilliant Kathy and so is your story. I'm the perfect age to relive those memories. Thanks for the big smile from your card and write-up.
