I used the tree die to cut from acetate and use as a stencil. I placed the stencil over a piece of mixed media paper and sprinkled with olive Brushos, spritzed with lots of water, and quickly removed the stencil. I left the stenciled piece to air dry.
Using a stencil, allows the brushos to pool in the open areas of the stencil, giving lots of depth of colour to the piece.
I cut the same tree die from white card stock, adhering it over top of my stenciled piece, being careful to line up with the design. A simple stamped birthday sentiment finishes the card.
I mopped up the left over ink on my craft mat and made a second card from it. Check it out HERE.
