I used a technique Julie Ebersole demonstrated in Online Card Classes' "Clean & Simple 4" class for the background. On a panel of watercolor paper, I stamped one of the leaf images from "Spring Blooms" in white gesso. After that dried--I just may have (impatiently) helped it with my heat tool ;)--I inked over it with Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, & Dried Marigold. I was pleasantly surprised that the orange & greens played so well together! Of course, I made sure not to overlap them too much. The gesso resisted the ink, resulting in a really cool background, imho!
I stamped the greeting with Charcoal ink onto pink cardstock, & die cut it with a "Lacey Ovals" die. I inked 2 narrow strips of white cardstock with Pumice Stone, and used them to mat my patterned paper strip (from my scrap stash). I adhered the strip & my oval to my background, and matted it with cardstock that I'd also inked with Pumice Stone. I then adhered that to a white card base.
