I'm so excited to be back in the swing of things and making cards again! I had to take a bit of a break to take care of moving houses. It sure is a lot of work, but I love being settled where we are now.
Here is a card I made to join in with a slew of challenges here at SCS as well as one from Make It Crafty, called "GLOW".
I made a scene on my computer using the digital image Penguin Thinking of You from Whimsy in combination with the lantern from Make It Crafty's Christmas Elements pack.
I used Copics and then added some sponged inks on top, as well as a few coloured pencils in places. I even added some Gelatos in places here and there! So certainly this turned out to be mixed media! The falling snow was just a white gel pen overtop everything. I love playing with the light in a project and this was such a great exercise in making a glowing scene!
Pretty papers from Whimsy Stamps - from Christmas Jewel and Christmas Essentials.
Besides the MIC challenge, I am also entering into the following challenges at Splitcoaststampers:
IC625 The Company Store
F4A405 Words To Live By
WT663 Thanksgiving Leftovers
SC672 Sketch Challenge
Hope you are enjoying this lovely season of snow and joy!

Another masterpiece, Crissy!!! You did an outstanding job on creating light for your awesome scene! I love the glow shining from the gorgeous light post onto your remarkably-designed penguin. The sky is so beautiful with the hand-drawn snow. Your work is amazing!!

Oh, dear Crissy! I agree with Naomi...picking up my jaw off the floor...yet again! Hehe! Your coloring is amazing, and I love this sweet penguin! The scene is darling, and the light shining on him is just fabulous! I can tell he feels right at home...just like you are feeling yourself now! So glad you are back in the swing again, I'm glad you have taken care of the moving business...surely, that's no fun and a lot of work! Warm and loving hugs, sweet Crissy! What a joy to see this just before I go to bed...snuggling up with this little fella in my mind!! xoxo
