This is a leftover piece of a mixed media background that didn't quite work out. I started out again with embossing paste used randomly with various stencils. Color was added by sponging, watercolor and any other color media that was available until the desired color was achieved. Stamping was then done in the spaces. The embossing dauber was used randomly again through stencils and embossed with Lindy Stamp gang powders. This technique is fun since I never know what I will get. While crafting with a good friend she allowed me to use this wonderful angel and allowed me to abuse it with Shimmer Sheetz. I'm sorry that the photo does not capture the sheen on the background. Once again I inlaid the die cut and used the stars from her skirt to embellish a bit. Stitches were added for texture. I've been topping my tags with a crystal since I have so many of them from past hobbies. Thanks for stopping by.
Be sure to join the fun at Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas. There is so much talent there and lots of inspiration too!

I love the look of a randomly stenciled bg...it’s fun and you really do get amazing results as you’ve gotten here. That angel is so pretty! And I can see some of the sheen from the bg....lovely!

The technique for creating the background is fantastic; what gorgeous results! The Shimmer Sheetz angel is beautiful and works beautifully. This may be my favorite so far!

I love your mxed media creations, Nancy. The bg color with the silver angel is lovely. The added textures and stitching really makes this tag stand out. I always hate to see the 12 tags of Christmas come to an end ...it is such a treat to see something from you so often.
