This particular sketch intrigued me, with the differently-angled panels. I decided the intersection made a good spot for a focal image. I printed the bird ornament onto watercolor paper. The die I had selected was a bit larger than the scrap of paper I'd printed on (I had forgotten to allow extra paper for the die cutting :P). So I just laid the die over the image, traced around the inside, and fussy cut the circle. I colored the image with my Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the color from the pencils and apply it to my paper. I die cut another circle from navy cardstock, using the same die I'd used to trace on my watercolor paper with, so it would give me a narrow mat. I glued my image circle to that. I cut & adhered my patterned papers, which was quite the challenge to get the angles right and still have all the edges meet up! I adhered a strip of the same navy cardstock to the left side of the card front, and glued my focal image on.
