To make this card, I got out some watercolor paper from Strathmore and my Distress Inks. First I took a watercolor paper panel and spritzed the middle of the panel with water. Then I watercolored the following Distress Inks onto the paper: Brushed Cordoroy, Walnut Stain and Tea Die. Once dry, I took a brown Prismacolor pencils and lightly drew in the boundary of the watercolor wash. I added some light brown dots for some interest with a Tombow marker.
Then, I die cut the leaf from watercolor paper with the "Grand Leaf Trio Die Set". I then watercolored with the following Distress Inks: Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Wild Honey, and Walnut Stain. Once dry, I adhered to my card panel, added three gold sequins and stamped the sentiment from AJVD's "BE-LEAF in Yourself" stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Thanks so much for looking!

I loved reading your description of ‘how-to’ and edging your watercoloured area was genius, it really does make it pop. A wonderful work of art, I love it.
