A big congratulations to Jeannie (Lv2grdn) on being the FS this week! I enjoyed looking through more of your gallery today!
I decided to case her lovely duoprinting Purple Plum tree cards.. I had participated in the same challenge back in July and made many 'prints' from some of the plant leaves in my garden.
alas - I do not have any purple plum leaves and absolutely LOVE how Jeannies look on her cards! So - I had to use what I had - these three are prints of bleeding heart leaves and even though they are the same leaves on each card - every 'press' comes out differently!
I wanted to add more colors in framing my presses like Jeannie did - but I had pressed mine on smaller pieces of watcolor paper and they didn't look good (to my eye) with larger areas of colors around them, so I went with one color frame on my 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" cards. I added the die cut hello in various greens and sequins.
These will be given to my church to send out to shut ins.

Love how fresh these look! Those 'hello' die cuts and sequins really work well with the prints. This is a wonderful set of cards and will be appreciated by the recipients I am sure!

I happen to really love bleeding hearts.........and your cards are just beautiful. My grandmother had lots of these pretty flowers in her rock garden..........thanks for stirring up a fond memory, my friend. Hugs.

Julia, duoprinting has become a favorite technique and the possibilities are endless! It’s very endearing to use real flora in the making of cards and this set is truly gorgeous! The leaf color speaks for itself and glad you made them shine on their own. These are very very special!
Many thanks for caseing my card!
