Here is a quick layout for the VSBNSep17C challenge: birthdays. For this challenge we had to do a layout featuring a birthday as well as use a pocket page or pocket page technique.
I didn't have enough pictures to do a pocket page (I usually save those for layouts that require a pocket page in between a dps), so I did a single layout simulating a pocket page. I have a lot of simple stories cards, so I used 3 of them.
Since this page features my DD's best stuffed friend's bday, I pulled out my chipboard numbers and covered it in red flocking to make it soft like her buddy Kevin.
tfl!

LOL - I love that Julia Child quote - nice card. Love this page! It is so fun - the colors and the theme! A birthday party for your daughter's teddy bear! Love the photo of her with her head thrown back laughing! The quote on the 4 x 6 card is perfect for Teddy Bear Kevin. Sometimes the cards feel so random, it's soooo nice when they come together to support the story - as they do here!
Nice cake, too. (wink) Yum.

Only an amazing mom would throw a party, and such an elaborate one at that, for her daughter's toy! I love this! Laying the photos and cards out in this style of a pocket page is so fun.
