Stampin Up Quilt Top embossing folder is new in the Holiday 2017 catalog and I had to have it! I love anything quilting, and this embossing folder is a charmer.
When I first used the embossing folder, I was annoyed to discover that the design within the EF was slightly off-center, side to side. If I wanted a perfectly centered 6"x6" piece of CS, I had to fiddle with it to get it lined up perfectly. I was really steamed when I checked other embossing folders and noted that they ALL had Designs that were perfectly centered.
Here is a link to a sample showing the EF and how the design looks when embossed on 6" square cs. Stampin Up Quilt Top EF - Holiday 2017 - Design Off-center by Boss at Splitcoaststampers
Before notifying my SU Demo, I decided to ask some fellow SCS if they had experienced the same issue. None who responded had this EF yet, but they reminded me that SU has excellent customer service and my Demo would be able to get replaced.
One very savvy responder, Stampin Stacy, wondered if it was intentionally designed that way so that the stitching pattern could be embossed in a continuous design. Eureka!!!! She was absolutely right! Worked like a charm!!! Thanks again, Stacy.
I was able to get this continuous design sample by embossing the left half of a 6" x 11" piece of cs, removing it from EF, rotating paper 180 degrees and inserting back into folder, butting the embossed stitch lines up with the design on the right side of the EF and running it through the Big Shot.
My instructions are clunky sounding, the process is quite simple and very easy to accomplish.
Thought this information might be useful to anyone who purchases this SU Christmas Quilt EF. It is a hidden gem and destined to become a "rock star" when the design possiblilities are realized!

I had not yet thought about embossing a 6x6 piece so hadn't encountered that issue but your solution sounds like a great plan in the e event I want to work with a larger piece of cardstock. I am primarily a cardmaker and stick with standard card sizes so had only embossed smaller panels but I sure do love that quilt folder!!
