No MIX challenge posted yet today, and it's at the point where it's going to be too late for me to play along, so I made my own Mixed Media fun for the week by trying out the Paint Swiping tutorial from the Weekly Inkling on Wednesday.
When I pulled my mind away from the beautiful blues in the tutorial sample, I started thinking of honey colours. I only had yellow acrylic, so I added some red pigment powder to some of it to make an orange, and then followed the tutorial. When dry, I stamped my sentiment, and then used more pigments to colour my clear modelling paste, and cut a stencil using the TH Mixed Media dies. The flowers were die-cut from scraps from next Monday's TLC - stay tuned for more info ;-). And the bee is from In Full Bloom, stamped on white card and coloured with pencils, and clear glitter pen on his wings. Just before taking the photo I added a few little Liquid Pearl drops round the flowers.

Well after seeing this, I'm glad the MIX challenge was late....otherwise this fabulous creation might not have been made. This is a triple wow, wow, wow card Sabrina. I love the vibrant colour, the texture and the powerful words. The flowers are gorgeous and I love how you used the liquid pearls as random spots! Can you tell how much I love this my friend.
