Ways to Use It asks us to use an old stamp that we love. This stamp from Lovely as a Tree is still one of my favourites. I've had it for about 9 or 10 years! It was one of the first stamp sets I bought when I started stamping!
I did a watercolour wash background using Distress Stains and lots of water - the stains give a lovely pale look, typical of a winter sky on a cold day.
I heat embossed the image in sparkly embossing powder and added some glitter along the snow lines.
I used a pale blue card base that tones in nicely with the middle band of colour.

Wow I had no idea this stamp set has been around for so long! Beautiful & timeless, these trees symbolize longevity in nature and the stamping world! Lovely card!

That set is such a classic, and I love seeing how people keep using it in different ways. You've created a lovely, peaceful scene, great colour choices, great background on the image. I really love how you embossed or scored the main image, too. Beautiful card!
