This is for Carla's creative WTIU Challenge to rescue a card and remake it. I had a card that needed a facelift. I had made it in my SU card club last month. It was the first time that I used these particular products; I stamped things crooked and lined up the die in the wrong place. I didn't finish my card that night and brought it home to "fix it". Well, that never did happen. Today Carla inspired me. I took it all apart. I die-cut the medallion out in a circle and cut an inside color and an outside mat. Then I wished I could cut off part of the circle when the stamping was so bad. My wish was granted with Allison's sketch challenge! I used a border embossing folder for the crisscross strips in lighter colors for a little variety. Stamped Happy Birthday & for You and added a few rhinestones. Thanks Carla for the challenge. Thank you for looking!

I've had that same frustration with crooked images, nice rescue and such a different look. I do like both your cards, Diane! Thanks for playing in my challenge.

Wow! Your remake is great. Although your first card is lovely, the colors of this card is so pretty, and I like that you used this week's sketch. A beautiful rescue card!

I love how you re-purposed the medallion and made it fit with this week's sketch challenge. I also really love the embossing folder on your strips. Great card!

A rescue and the sketch challenge, great work!! Sometimes I think new products are like new techniques; I need to get to know them first with a trial run before really getting a feel for what will work.

Nicely done Diane! The diagonal stripes in this week's sketch add excitement to your card. I really like your treatment you've done to the medallion. Fabulous!

Like the diagonal embossed stripes and the offset medallion...nice change from the straight lines and the original, plus meets the sketch challenge nicely as well!

Your remake turned out beautifully, Diane. You combined the two challenges so well by using the sketch layout and keeping the same elements....just put together in a different way,
