I am home sick from church today on day 2 of a stomach bug and decided to finish off a card that I started during DTGD for Kelli Jo's challenge. I went through featured stamper Shendrian/ Sharon's gallery and found lots of inspiration! I hope to go back for more later but decided on this card Heart Tree by shendrian at Splitcoaststampers for layout inspiration. My main panel was fingerpainted with texture paste and glass beads for the flowers. I smeared blue acrylic paint around the base. Once dry, I fingerpainted the leaves and then randomly added some text in black ink. I diecut a sentiment. I rounded the corners and laid it over a Melon Mambo panel that I angled on the corners as in Sharon's original card. I found a piece of dp for the back piece and dry embossed the turquoise and green pieces.
*just realized that Sharon's card was from a sketch challenge and I have added the keyword for the sketch-I did follow Sharon's twists on the sketch with the corner treatment of the main panel as well as the dry embossing and switch to two instead of 3 diagonal strips and dry embossing them.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well, Gail. Thank you for taking the time to make a card. Your choice is one of my favorites - I really liked the sketch. Your card is very pretty with cheery colors, dry embossing and a lovely image. It's a beautiful case of my card! Feel better.
