I made this card for the Letter G alphabet challenge. My Gs are Gray cardstock and dsp; and glorious roses. The double challenge is to use gray and pink together- fun! So I pulled out this light gray scrap of dsp I had in my stash and ran it through the embossing folder. The embossed image all but disappeared into this woodgrain dsp which surprised me. So, I decided to pull out my rarely used gelato's and see what would happen. I rubbed the colors lightly onto the raised areas and rubbed them lightly with my finger. This is quite relaxing to do, but I was not sure what I thought of the end result. Hummm. I will be sending this to a nonstamping friend so I decided to turn this into a thank you card and not worry about it. I die cut the thank you and used clear wink of stella all over the black sentiment which is super sparkly in real life. Once the card was done and I stood back a little, then I decided I liked it. Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

Oh Karen, I think this is gorgeous! I'm not sure why you weren't sure you liked it, it is beautiful! I love the gelato effect on your flowers and greenery. Absolutely delightful!

Fabulous! I learn so much from your descriptions of making your cards. This is wonderfully romantic and rustic at the same time. I bought some gelatos, but have not played with them. Thanks for the inspiration to do so after seeing your gorgeous card. "G" for gorgeous, right?, lol

I would never have thought to emboss dp, gosh it looks great. I love my gellatos, another way to use them is to ever so lightly use a baby wipe to move the colour. You sure nailed the challenge Karen. I love this!!!
