This card is for JoanneÂ’s Dare To Get Dirty challenge.
This card is very simple and I got the idea from a get well card my 99 year old mum-in-law sent me, it had a big partially cut out moth on the front of the single layer card, you could see the writing beneath though.
It gave me the idea to make a card using one of my stash backgrounds by stamping and embossing a butterfly on vellum then restamping the butterfly on the card front and then removing the wings from the butterfly and attaching the vellum butterfly onto the remaining body of the butterfly on the card front and then placing the background behind the front of the card and there you have it.
You will have to play along to find out what the technique / challenge is.

Spectacular!! Love how the wings are popped up like this gorgeous butterfly is ready to take flight. So nicely done!
Thanks for adding this beautiful card to the challenge gallery, Marg!

Stunning card, Marg! So elegant and beautiful. I love that you heat-embossed the butterfly in white on vellum, and the bright yellow/orange is peeking through. Hideko
