A bird has a head and this one is near the clouds. : )
I did the clouds in the quickest and easiest way I know to do them. On watercolor paper, put down a blue/any color wash(darker at top, lighter at the bottom). With a wadded up Kleenex, lift color to create the clouds. I added white acrylic to the mountain tops.

Sallie, this is absolutely gorgeous. Your technique of dabbing with Kleenex gave the most realistic sky I think I have seen in the gallery. And your snow capped mountains are beautiful. I love the Rockies, and this captures the beauty of the Rockies perfectly.

What a great technique for clouds - I must try it! Love the mountains with the acrylic paint for snow on the tops. The eagle is the perfect bird for your scene.

Sallie, your watercoloring is so gorgeous! This looks like where I live, I can see the mountains right out my back window and you've captured the snowy peaks and colors so beautifully.
