MIX236 = be inspired by a book cover. I am currently reading "The Road to Little Dribbling" by Bill Bryson. The cover features a large sheep looking right at you, but the background is a small village scene. I went with the scene part for this Christmas card. I used white acrylic for the snow and the smoke.

What a wonderful card for Christmas, Sallie, and your spotlight just made it even better. Beautiful card!

Wow! Love your gorgeous card, Sallie! Boy, I have to agree with Vicki about not caring for the spotlight technique but you have changed my mind. Just gorgeous!

So beautiful - love the peaceful scene. Your spotlighting works perfectly, and I really like the red and green borders repeating the colours in the spotlight.

Very beautiful. I love your little winter scene. I have the sheep on mine that goes with your book. Great spotlight technique. I look at the snow in your image and am greatly reminded that winter will be here before we know it. I am never ready for snow.

Beautiful winter scene, Sallie, so cozy feeling. This is the way I remember spotlighting, with the image stamped in a neutral and just the spotlighted area colored.
