I used specialty resist paper for my scaly background. The mermaid was colored with Zig Brush markers. I stamped two mermaids and superimposed to achieve the hard to cut out parts. The background behind the mermaid was done with a watercolor wash.

Hmmm, new mermaid stamps? This is so great! I love the way the background mimics the mermaid's tail. (Or is it the other way around?) Perfect color choices and cute sentiment.
