IC606: we were to find inspiration on Jennifer McGuire's blog which is full of wonderful techniques and ideas. I have followed her blog for a long time and when this video came out: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/03/split.html I wanted to try making it but I would have to build the image as I don't have a lovely stamp like the one she used.
I finally took the time to do it yesterday. It was time consuming but I really like the results. This is my second attempt as I forgot to do a step the first time and messed up. I really needed to keep my focus while making it because of all of the steps. It was good for masking practice!
I stamped, using the Misti, both the white panel and the orchid opulence panel, one in versamark and one in black.
After stamping, I colored the white panel with a selection of Copic markers. I cut my two panels after coloring.
I heat embossed the sentiment on black. Then it was a simple matter of assembling the card. A few touches of Wink of Stella here and there and it was done.
Thanks for looking!

Gorgeousness!!! And I spy Yellow and it goes so perfect with shades of purple and lavender. This is also something I've been wanting to try. But I will in time and since this is already gone to my high ho gallery. I'll have it to remind me and keep for future inspiration or to just admire at will!!

These are so PRETTY, Catherine. Love that idea...make two card panels that compliment one another, but them in half and combine them and voila...you have two gorgeous cards! You did this so perfectly. Love your beautiful colors and coloring, and then the violet versamark stamped...oh so clever! Love the black and gold sparkly added...perfect.
